Never Seen a Seed Begging for Bread
When God calls you to sow again and again, He’s setting you up to see His promise fulfilled.
I was sitting quietly today, just thinking about how many times God has told me to sow. Sometimes it feels like, “God, REALLY? Again?!?” Time after time, He nudges me to give into this or that. And in that very moment, the scripture dropped into my spirit:
“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” — Psalm 37:25
That hit different today.
Every time God asks me to sow, He’s not trying to take something from me. He’s reminding me that I am connected to a promise. The righteous are never forsaken. Their seed — their life, their legacy, their children, their future — never beg for bread.
When we obey God and trust Him with our giving, He guarantees provision. It may not show up when or how we expect, but His track record is flawless. Lack isn’t our portion. Begging isn’t our story. Provision and overflow are.
I’m learning that sowing is less about what leaves my hand and more about what God is trying to get to me. Every seed is a faith declaration that says, “God, I trust You with what I have, and I trust You with what’s coming.”
So if God is prompting you to give — time, love, resources, whatever it is — remember this promise: Your seed will not beg. You will not be forsaken. Your obedience is planting a harvest you can’t even fully see yet.
With That Said……..
Lord, thank You that I am never forsaken. Thank You that every seed You lead me to sow is connected to Your promise of provision. I trust Your timing and Your faithfulness. I believe my life, my family, and my future will never lack.
This is just one of the Things I’m Feeling!
